I can remember as a kid my mother growing a variety of yellow tomato, I refused to eat them as I thought there was something wrong with them! Still to this day have never seen a striped tomato though, what variety is that?

This blog contains superb information about growing tomatoes. Lot of usefull posts, and even I have learned quite a lot even though I have been growing tomatoes for the last 20 years! I will send a link to my friends who also enjoy growing tomatoes. Thank you very much for your effort in making this blog.

Not really, they are supposed to ripen. I guess keep them away from bananas or putting them in a strong breeze might slow things down. But I am a bit puzzled as to why you would want to stop it.

Wow thanks for informing us about the ethylene gas, never knew that it is the reason why tomatoes ripens fast. Well is there anyway to stop it?
